Pretty in pink in Nolita.
Pretty in pink in Nolita
Maybe we have all thought of pink as a “scary” color, thinking back to our 90’s childhood years when Barbie flaunted the store shelves, making everyone wanting to look just like her. Now that the 90’s definitely are back: pink just had to happen.
A pink-flavored tsunami
The fashion world has been hit by a pink-flavored tsunami to dominate this season's catwalk trends. Maybe you thought the world went colorblind at first? Now you just can't deny that the color is everywhere to be seen. You most likely have to accept that it has become a “thing” by now. But you know what? Suddenly blush rose, bright fuchsia, and bubblegum pink isn’t just about being cute anymore.
Major design statement
Keeping it ladylike—not girly—pink has become a very chic color, and even eateries are having an affection with it. Pietro Nolita—a new favorite, and up-to-date neighborhood spot—knows exactly how to stay perfectly pretty in pink. It's the place where fun goes to blossom, showing love and happiness in a room full of different shades of pink while making it a major design statement.
Embracing your girlier impulses will blend you in right away with their cutest cotton-candy-shaded coffee cups, holding the very best of their freshly-made vanilla latte (a must-try!) in a perfectly pink-all-over atmosphere. This small, yet subtle cafe won't disappoint your eyes—nor your stomachs—as they are holding a mouth-watering menu filled with healthy Italian food that will make your stomach roar just by reading through it.
Newfangled 90’s girly-boss
My advice to you would be to bring out the newfangled 90’s girly-boss that is still in you, and let us all celebrate this female moment of a sky-rocked ambivalent girliness for all that it is worth! It will for sure make your Instagram feed pretty likable, and your followers pretty amazed!
So, what do you think? …Pink?

Calling all beer lovers!

Calling all beer lovers!
Ever asked a bartender for beer tips which ended up by you committing to a beer that you did not love? Or absolutely hated? Well, guess what? Beer enthusiast or not, Paloma Rocket is a place for everyone and will probably end up as one of your go-to spots. It is definitely one of the most interesting spots to check out in Manhattan’s Lower East Side at the moment.
Pour-your-own beer bar with James Bond in the back
This new technology-driven beer-bar have more than successfully taken technology to another level, as the best thing about this place—and what makes it unique—is their pour-your-own beer bar situation. Technology at its finest! They definitely do not disappoint with their laid-back, retro vibe, and their old-school James Bond wall-posters surrounding the whole space either.
Graham, the crazy-fun owner, and #1 James Bond fan collected the wall-posters while he was traveling the world, as he wanted to create a fun and unique bar for the younger crowd. Yes, he has definitely been successful in creating it, and it sure is one of those good, old-fashioned New York bars.
30 brews on tap - always with a different tasting experience
Paloma Rocket offers plenty of tasty choices to help stimulate your taste buds, as this high-tech bar has 30 brews on tap, along with a couple of wines and ciders. So, this is how it works: you buy a beer card from the bartender, who also happens to be a “beer ambassador”—he can literally answer any question you might possibly have, or shoot you some great recommendations—place your card into the slot, pull the handle and pay for the brews as you go.
Whenever the brews are emptied, they are replaced with a new kind, so you will always have a different tasting experience when returning. They also keep their various beverages to the different seasons, which means that they even have a couple rosé’s on tap in the summertime.
Thirsty yet?
More personality than your favorite beers combined
You can read all the information needed on the tap screens atop each tap handle—featuring brewery info, tasting notes and price per ounce—before deciding which one you want to go with first. In other words, you can order whatever you want to drink, without actually having to talk to the bartenders. But then again, you would probably want to socialize with the guys behind this bar, as they all have more personality than your favorite beers combined.
A fun-loving night out
So, love yourself some beers, eh? At this beer “palace” you will get a bubbly rush as you can perfectly pour yourself small samples, one after another. This bar could not be located at a better place either, as there is just something about that whole low-key, Lower East Side atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a boozy night out with your buds, or a fun-loving experience with your date, this place lives up to its expectations. There is almost a feeling of the drive to perfection that comes with the freedom to serve yourself. But make sure to leave those beer goggles at home, guys!
Cheers!
